The Maidens of the Black Rose is a chaotic, neutrally aligned roleplaying guild of the "Old Ways". We look to the virtues of: Courage, honor, compassion, and respect for all that live and breath in Hydlaa. We hold true to these precepts : In all our dealings with the men, women and other guilds of our world, regardless of race or species, we will honor the circle of life and growth. In our sisterhood, joined with our brother Knights, our Order will overcome all adversities, rejoice in all victories and maintain loyalty to our brothers and sisters of the Order in all we do. We will stand by the side of our brother Knights at all costs.

Your gender must be female, or a non-gender Kran. All members must first and foremost maintain the values of a lady, and the guild charter. We will roleplay the seductress but look not to attain a reputaion for vulgarity, or servitude. We will use our charm, as well as our strength. Membership in the guild is voluntary. Members are free to request removal from the guild at any time, for any reason. If a separation occurs, the following will apply; If unguilded under unfavorable circumstances, either at your request or the action of leadership, your reinstatement will be considered after a 30 days probation period. If unguilded for personal or emotional reasons, either IC or OOC, your reinstatement will be considered after a 15 day probation period. All reinstatements will be up for vote by the leadership of the Order. If unguilded due to gross negligence, your reinstatement will not be considered.

Guild membership is available to those who maintain an active player status. We can not form a strong Order with absent characters. Holding the second in command position, or that of an officer requires you log at least 7 hours weekly. The Order has five ranks of leadership; Guild Leader, Second in Command, Mistress Advisor, Mistress Sentinel, and Lady Sentinel. There will be a set number of officers per rank. Currently the restrictions are; 1 Guild leader, 1 Second in command, 1 Mistress Advisor, 1 Mistress Sentinel, and 1 Lady Sentinel. If an officer resigns their position, the vacancy will be filled by the next lowest ranking member that has shown sufficient character and drive within the guild. This promotion will be up for vote by the remaining officers. All officers will be made aware of guild strategies, and sensitive information. All officers are required to recruit.

You will bring no dishonor to the "Order". Actions create reaction. You will be responsible for maintaining the "Order's" integrity as a unit. Slander of the "Order", or any of it's members either by way of IC or OOC will not be tolerated and will result in grounds for immediate removal from the guild. We require all initiates to follow the Planeshift User Guidelines, as well as those of this charter. We encourage roleplay especially in face to face interaction. Profanity or disrespect for anothers race, origin, or religion will not be tolerated. This will include but is not limited to; any public channel, any Planshift forum, face to face interaction, or any other Planeshift related web site. You must remain IC (in character) in "shouts", or note that your comments are OOC (out of character). The guild chat channel is open to your discretion. Disregard for any charter rule defined herein will result in immediate dismissal.

If a member of the Maidens has been determined to have violated the charter in any way, they can be placed on probation by any officer. If the violating member currently holds an officers position, they will be stripped of their title until the probation period has expired. The officer in charge of the reprimand will notify the offending member of the violation, and set the probation period. The default amount of time is 30 days, however if a violation is severe, a vote may be cast among the officers for member removal before the probation period has ended. Any Maiden with a pending probation status will not be eligible for promotions or other positive guild functions, or help. After the probation period has expired with no further incident, the violation will be forgiven and will not count against any guild advancement or promotion. If a member requires reprimand while in a probationary status, or repeatedly commits the same infraction, the member will be removed form the guild.

There will be a guild "tax". It is essential for the "Order" to have resources to enable us to build, equip, and defend. Therefore a 20% hunting tax will be assested. This tax, and the means by which it is assigned, will change as the world of Yliakum updates. A character banker has been created, and the in-game command of /buddy give (character name) will be used to donate your taxes. The character banker will be the "Order's" official treasurer, and will be accessed by guild leaders, and leadership positions only. The name of the banker is privilaged information, and will be given to you at the time of your initiation to the guild. This information will be held in the strictest of confidence, and any breach will result in immediate unguilding. In addition, once the combat ability has be initiated, we request that you donate your old equipment, or weapons to be used by newer guild members in need, or sold to keep the guild liquid. Any armor, weapons, or euipment supplied by the guild, must be returned if you upgrade your equipment, either by personal funding, or guild funding. The guild tax contribution will not be monitored, and we must rely on your personal dedication. Keep in mind that we will provide armor, weapons, the purchase of spells, and any other necessity to our members. We can only do this, if we have the resources.

We will not tolerate game "modding" that distorts the integrity of the game. User modification of files for ease of use are allowed. If we are meant to jump as high as the temple, be suspended in midair, be able to see and pick up crystals from 3 rooms away, PS will initiate that ability. One does not grow strong by ease, but from hard work. Our strengths and abilities will be trained, not modded.

We reserve the right to make ammendments to the charter at any time, for any reason. All members can petition an ammendment to add, change, or modify the charter. The ammendment must be presented in exact wording to the officers of the guild. A vote of 4 to 1 will be required to pass any such change. This charter will update as Yliakum evolves.
